PLANS to demolish and replace the old and weary buildings of Westhoughton High School have been welcomed.
Councillor Julia Silvester’s Liberal Democrat team was pleased to hear that school has been included in the first phase of the Building Schools for the Future project.
The buildings are set to be replaced and modernised. Julia commented: “This cannot come quick enough. The high school buildings need to be brought up to scratch.”
