Just been informed that Mill St will now be turned into more junior football pitches ?? Are there not enough junior
facilities in the Westhoughton area ?? (Daisy Hill, C.M.B, Ladybridge, Westhoughton Rangers, Cross Guns playing field which has a £2500 portable goal post system with storage container sat redundant)

Can someone please tell me where the nearest adult size football pitch is with changing rooms available to
lease ?

If Westhoughton High schools lottery bid doesn't go through and central drive don't get the changing rooms, we will
be forced to play our football outside of the borough for another season. We have massive interest to create more teams within the club however a venue is stopping this from happening.

73 Church Street now seems to have become a Pizza take-away. It was open after 11:00 pm on Friday 18/6/10. Does it have planning permission for this?

Typical it seems that your first response is to install a speed camera. Better road markings and signage are all thats required,,,,but they dont make money do they.

Actually it's not.. Bryn has no Sunday service at all, though the all stops train passes through it does not stop forcing Sunday travelers to pay £3.60 to use the bus instead.. something started by First when they ran both the bus and rail service.. The rail is £1.60 return
Regardless of campaigning no forward moves are made.. they use the excuse "no demand" where in reality there must be a demand as the train stops at ALL the other stations to Liverpool and the bus is often standing room only.. even on Sunday.

how about monitoring the matter? Could a speed camera be installed on a temporary measure (or even arrange for a hand-held one) then the exact number of defaulters would be recorded. It is easier to deal with something if we have hard facts.

I have been trying to get a purple wheelie bin fot bottles etc for nearly 2 years why can't the council sort out the supply. Wehave to put up with a small green bin where the bottles blow away when windy.

I have only one bin collection in the last 8 weeks on the 18th Jan
I have called the enviromental services several times only to be told that a complaint will be lodge. This does not help me or my neighbours and our ever growing mound of rubbish

Bolton Council have made no serious attempt to collect refuse - my road was probably not safe for the collection of refuse so I left my bin at the end of my road adjacent to a road that was completely clear of snow or ice - the council have advised me the bin wasn't emptied because I hadn't left it in it's normal location - but also admitted they wouldn't have emptied it if I had left it in the normal location - what exactly do we pay council tax for if they can't be bothered to empty bins? - it's now 5 weeks since my bin was emptied.

To me this seems a bit ridiculous - forcing residents to walk across town with bags of rubbish, with the worsening ice and snow on the ground. The limited collection points are certainly not close enough for us to consider risking life and limb just so our rubbish will be collected. Driving the refuse trucks along main roads and stopping at the end of streets is surely a safer option than asking residents to drag bin-bags out across town.
