The traffic lights were demolished by a passing truck

The traffic lights at the top of Church Street at its junction with the A6 were clonked by a truck this week.

The lights tumbled to the ground causing a hazard to passing vehicles.

Westhoughton councillor David Wilkinson contacted Transport for Greater Manchester who maintain permanent traffic lights and engineers were sent to deal with it.
