Deep potholes on St George’s Avenue to be filled

Westhoughton councillor Neil Maher on St George’s Avenue

Some of the worst potholes on St George’s Avenue are to be filled, after complaints by Liberal Democrat councillor Neil Maher.

Neil, who represents Westhoughton South ward, said: “Some of them are as deep as eight inches. The road is in an absolutely terrible condition in parts, so I’m pleased that we’re getting these improvements.”

Liberal Democrat councillors are campaigning for improvements to Westhoughton’s roads and footpaths, which have been left to crumble by Bolton Council over the years.
