Westhoughton and Daisy Hill railway station closures begin

Westhoughton railway station is closed for one week, starting this Saturday 10 February, whilst Daisy Hill station also faces three weekends of closures.

The Westhoughton line is closed as part of the electrification programme until Friday 16 February.

Trains will then run as normal on Saturday 17 February before the line is closed again on Sunday 18 February for drainage works.

The Daisy Hill line will also be closed this weekend and the following two weekends for drainage works.

Rail replacement buses will be in operation.
